The Reading Buddy Program connects children and seniors through storytelling, literacy, and companionship. Youth participants visit local nursing homes or senior centers to read with residents for a designated number of volunteer hours. After completing the program, participants reflect on their experience through a short written or creative report, fostering empathy, communication skills, and intergenerational understanding.
